Students raise money for Refugee Displacement through a Can & Bottle Drive!
During the months of October and November, students are collecting cans and bottles to return to help out the refugees who have recently been displaced.
2014-2015 3rd & 4th Grade Patch Up Poverty!
Students researched about impoverished areas and what efforts they could take to help these areas. They then researched the benefits of animals and what they can provide an impoverished area. In the end they were able to raise $560 to go towards the efforts of Read to Feed.
2014-2015 3rd and 4th Grade Class book ($15)
Students in 4th grade wrote the nonfiction text explaining the History of Ithaca, while the 3rd grade interviewed an individual who has lived in Ithaca since they were younger. The 3rd graders wrote a fictional story about their individual's life based on true events and settings. This book can now be found in the archives of Cornell University!

Ithaca Catholic school students write book on one of 'Lost Boys of Sudan'
2013-2014 3rd and 4th Grade Class book ($10)
Students invited a Lost Boy of Sudan(Ayuen) to the classroom, listened to his story, asked him questions, and then began writing his story. They experienced the full writing process including many revisions and edits. Lastly, they were able to read their book to Ayuen at a Book Release. They have sold almost 100 copies! Books have been requested nationwide!
2013-2014 3rd & 4th Grade Raise Money to Help the Philippines!
Students learned about the typhoon in the Philippines and felt something needed to be done. So they marketed a Bake Sale and Penny Drive to raise money to send to the Philippines. They raised a total of $173!
